About Me
My name is Dr. Katarzyna Lasiecka and I am a veterinarian specializing in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology and food safety. I graduated from veterinary studies at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, and then obtained a Ph.D. in veterinary sciences, defending a thesis on the effect of ochratoxin A intoxication on the metabolic functions of poultry. Additionally, I have an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), which allows me to combine veterinary knowledge with management skills.
My professional experience includes both scientific and administrative work. As a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, I conducted classes on milk hygiene, hygiene of slaughter animals, meat and processing of animal products. I also held managerial positions in veterinary administration, including as the Director of the Veterinary Inspectorate in Łódź and the District Veterinary Officer in Kutno. I was also the Director of the Veterinary Services Plant Cedrob S.A., where I was responsible for supervising veterinary safety and the quality of animal products.
As a scientist, I am the author of publications on pharmacology, toxicology and antibiotic therapy in veterinary medicine. I regularly participate in international scientific conferences and training programs, where I share my knowledge on animal health, mycotoxins and optimization of pharmacological therapies.
As an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at Xavier University School of Medicine Aruba, I intend to share my knowledge and experience with future veterinarians by teaching veterinary pharmacology and toxicology and other subjects assigned by the Dean. I will also actively participate in academic committees and accreditation processes, supporting the development and improvement of the veterinary program at the school.
I am confident that my interdisciplinary approach and passion for teaching will allow me to make a valuable contribution to the development of the veterinary program at Xavier University, educating future veterinary specialists and contributing to the success of the school.
