Small Classes. Expanded Learning.

A major benefit of studying at Xavier University School of Veterinary Medicine is the small student/teacher ratio. More intimate classes keep students from feeling lost and invisible in massive lecture halls. At Xavier, there is greater opportunity to work hands-on with our faculty, who always encourage more personalized training.

World-Class Faculty

Our esteemed faculty is comprised of distinguished veterinary and medical physicians, who are not only committed to teaching but also to preparing our students for success. Our focus is to train thoughtful clinician scientists that will become lifelong learners and contribute to the health professions as well as to the communities they serve. As they invest in us, we, too, invest in them.

Hands-on Experience

Xavier has integrated in-clinic experience beginning in the first semester, providing students with hands-on learning the entire time with us.

Clinical Training in the US & Canada

Fourth-year clinical training will be completed by students at Xavier’s partner accredited affiliate institutions in the US and Canada.

Admission That Seeks Beyond Academics

At Xavier, we know the full dimension of any candidate exceeds the scores listed on an academic record. That is why we conduct a more holistic assessment when evaluating prospective students. Additionally, we offer three convenient start dates — January, May, and September — and admission occurs on a rolling basis. The point being: Every student is different, so we remain as flexible as we can.

Aruba: Beautiful, Safe and Easy

Aruba is one of the safest islands in the Caribbean with a very low crime rate. It is easy to get to with frequent direct flights from major North American and European cities. Aruba sits below the hurricane belt so it does not experience tropical storms like other islands do. The weather is beautiful every day with a gentle breeze which makes the higher temperatures very pleasant. The U.S. dollar is accepted in Aruba, in addition to all major currencies. The culture and people in Aruba are very happy and welcoming.
